⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wishbone is a new play by Oxford’s Peach Productions, it tells the story of Ro and Ti, the latter of whom is in love with the former, but this isn’t reciprocated. Unfortunately for the pair, only seconds later Ro receives a text that a close friend has tested positive for Covid and sadly they are stuck together for the next 7 days. Unfortunately I caught the last show of this run so am unable to encourage you to buy tickets, but make sure you follow @peachprodsox on Instagram to keep updated for any future productions.

These two characters could not be more dissimilar, Ro appearing more confident and open, whilst it is clear that the pair are both struggling to deal with this excruciatingly awkward situation. The performances from Rosa Calcroft as Ti and Kaitlin Horton-Samuel (Ro) are fantastic as they go through a range of emotions within this speedy 50 minute piece.

The story written by Coco Cattam is really engaging and fast moving as the 7 days pass in a flash, although if I had one complaint it would be that because the show is only 50 minutes long, it does feel quite rushed and I’m sure if the show had the space to expand that it would be even better.

If this show ever comes back, I would highly recommend it to everyone, especially queer people who may relate to some of the content of the show.
